About GoldPip

Who runs this, what it is for, how it is funded, and what it is not. This page exists because financial content should say plainly where it comes from.

What this is

GoldPip publishes the complete signal record of one rule-based XAUUSD trading system. The system watches spot gold continuously, applies a fixed set of rules on a five-minute decision cycle, and records every decision it makes — including the decisions not to trade.

Everything on this site is generated from that record. Nothing is written by hand after the fact, and no signal is added for the sake of having something to publish.

Who runs it

GoldPip is a small trading technology team focused on disciplined XAUUSD execution. We combine systematic analysis, strict risk management and modern engineering to run one thing properly rather than many things loosely.

We have no commercial relationship with any broker and no affiliate arrangements. Signal sites are usually funded by broker referrals, which gives them a reason to want you trading often. This one has no such reason: where capital is managed, GoldPip is paid only from realised profit, and only on a trade that closes above the capital it opened on.

The account behind the numbers

The results published here come from a live account. Orders go to a broker at real prices and real spreads, and fills, slippage and costs are recorded as they happen. Every number on this site is a record of something that actually executed.

Trading gold with leverage can lose money, and this record contains losing days as well as winning ones. It is published in full for that reason: a record that showed only the good days would not be worth reading.

Every figure on this page comes from live trading. Past results are a record of what a system did, not a promise of what it will do. Nothing here is investment advice, and no result is guaranteed.

How the record is protected

The journal is append-only and hash-chained: each entry carries a hash of the one before it, so an earlier entry cannot be altered without breaking every hash after it. The reasoning for a trade is written when the trade is opened, before the outcome is known, and the code that produces that written explanation is structurally prevented from reading outcome fields at all — it raises an error rather than accepting them.

This is what makes the published reasoning worth reading. Anyone can write a convincing explanation once they already know how the trade ended.

What this is not

  • It is not financial advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to trade.
  • It is not a signal subscription, and there is no paid tier for access to this record.
  • It does not forecast the price of gold, and attaches no confidence percentage to any signal, because a made-up confidence number reads as meaningful and is not.
  • It makes no claim that past results predict future ones. Trading gold with leverage can lose money quickly, including more than was deposited.

Corrections

Corrections are welcome and wanted. If a number on this site looks wrong, it is worth reporting — the accuracy of the record is the whole point of the project.
